What a productive morning it has been for the Swallow Union staff and the Technology & Digital Learning team! Last night, Ockers successfully delivered and installed (12) new 75" TouchView panels as we made the transition from aging projectors. These new panels come with exciting features that we are eager to explore, such as the S-write whiteboarding software and Eshare wireless screen sharing...among many of the available features!
During the first six weeks of school, students work together to establish norms and expectations to develop and strengthen their sense of class community and learn about each other's goals for the year. Students in Mrs. Jankowski's classroom displayed what it means to them to be great a student, a great classmate, and a great teacher. Then they discussed how these roles work together to support the achievement of each other's Hopes and Dreams this school year.
Friendly reminder: We are excited to share that all students will receive free school meals this school year and in all future years after Massachusetts became the 8th state to make Free School Meals for All permanent.
Through Witsons, we will provide your children breakfast and lunch each full school day, supporting them with nourishing and healthy meals to power through the school day! Students at their school may purchase à la carte items and second meals.

Systems Administrator Joe Bisbee installs a new Extreme Wireless Access point in a Swallow Union classroom. There were a total of 40 access points installed across the building, which was partially funded by a federal E-Rate grant.
Our awesome summer intern Cam Miller is installing one of the many new VoIP phones for the new Zoom Phone system. Each educational space at Swallow Union will receive a new Yealink VoIP phone!

Students in 1C had some fun last week learning about 3D shapes while they worked together to build structures.
K&1 Field day was a wet and wild morning. Kids had a blast. Parent volunteers were key to our success. Police concluded our event with some warm pizza and a picnic in the gym.
