Our amazing nurses, Kate and Jen, spent time with our Kindergarteners teaching them how to be Germ Stoppers through proper handwashing skills! Students used a special soap and then checked their hands under a special light to see just how important thorough handwashing is for keeping us healthy. A big thank-you to our nurses for this fun and impactful lesson!

Mrs. Keegan’s third graders rocked their book projects and class presentations today! Watching them encourage and support one another was truly amazing. Presenting in front of peers isn’t easy, but they stepped up, showed real perseverance, and absolutely crushed it. #accomplished #perseverance

Our Student Council visited every classroom this morning to deliver Kindness Jars—an idea they created and brought to life to help spread positivity across Swallow Union. Each jar is filled with uplifting messages for students to read, one per day, over the next month. We’re so proud of their initiative and the kindness they’re inspiring throughout our school!

Mrs Olson's class uses Pass the Spider to greet each other during morning meeting. They say 'good morning' to each other, then, using only one hand and a straw, they pass the spider ring to the person they greeted. By the end of the greeting, the spider has been passed all the way around the circle! It takes teamwork, fine motor skills, and perseverance!
