Special thanks to the Dunstable police officers who safely escorted the first-grade classes to and from the library.

Mrs. Schott's first grade class graduates after completing the first grade Units of Studies in Phonics curriculum! Congratulations!

Field Day was a success for our Kindergartners and 1st Graders! Thank you to the amazing parents who volunteered - and a shout out to Mr. Lattini and Mrs. Pelletier for ensuring traditions continue for our students!

Mrs. Salvatore, GDRMS Principal and Mr. Day, GDRMS Assistant Principal visited with 4th graders today for a Q & A opportunity to ask all things middle school. And who better to
ask than our former students now in 5th grade! Left to Right: Owen Wilson, Kate Narayan, Kylie Lewon, and Madeline Gannon!

Miss Stacey from Nashua River Watershed visited kindergarten today with their Discover Spring Program. The students examined all different types of aquatic bugs and had a blast!

On Wednesday, May 1, 2024, Groton-Dunstable student leaders participated in the World of Difference Institute and facilitated a Day of Difference in conjunction with Autism Acceptance Week across the district. High school student leaders engaged classrooms in an interactive read aloud discussion to build awareness and acceptance of neurodiversity and promote an inclusive community in which the varying needs and abilities of all are honored and understood.

Message from Dr. Chesson: After speaking with our maintenance staff and observing conditions on side roads and Chicopee Row Groton Dunstable Regional Scholl District will have a two hour delay today. We will continue to monitor the conditions but it appears now that all roads and school parking lots will be ready then.

Student Council making cards for our Seniors in Dunstable who will be turning 90 this year. Wishing our elders a wonderful birthday celebrating 90 years of life!

Student Council Members visited each classroom this morning to talk to them about the upcoming donation drive. The Wish Project’s mission is to help families in need establish long-term residency by providing basic needs to provide critical immediate assistance to homeless families, and victims of fire or disaster; and to support the community.

Students in third grade got to experience hand-on-science from the PTO on Tuesday. The program was intended for students to learn about how animals and plants survive and thrive with habitats. In one of the experiments they got to learn how cactus plants survive in the desert without much water. They also learned how blubber can keep an animal warm in the freezing arctic. Lastly they got to use glue and a powdered glow in the dark substance to make slime. They actually made bioluminesce light just like jellyfish do down in the deep dark oceans.

Wishing GDRSD families a blessed Ramadan filled with peace, prosperity, and happiness!

Students explore concepts of force and motion while interacting with a variety of toys and engineering their toys that move in lots of different ways. Students play with how to make objects move and control that movement, and experiment with the effects of outside forces such as gravity and friction acting on that movement. #thescienceofforceandmotion

First graders in Mrs. Caulfield's class enjoyed learning logic games, such as Nim and Three Men's Morris, in which they had to use strategy and critical thinking to play competitively with their math partners. Special thank you to Mrs. Gartland, PreK to 8 Math Supervisor, for coaching and joining in the fun!
