Good Morning,
Due to a plumbing issue which we have just been informed will not be able to be rectified during school hours we will need to dismiss from school early today.
Dee Bus will begin sending buses to the high school and we will dismiss students as the buses arrive but we understand that some buses may not be able to be here until after noon.
Any students who drive or walk to school will be dismissed as of 11:30.

Last Thursday, March 17th the GD High School Best Buddies had their sixth annual talent show. This talent show is a place for the buddies and their peers to shine and grow their friendships in an inclusive environment. This year the GD High Best Buddies Chapter was able to donate a portion of the talent show fundraiser to the GD Middle School Best Buddies Chapter. The show will be running on The Groton Channel, On Demand, for the next several weeks. As a reminder we are hosting our Spring High School Open House this evening beginning at 6pm. All parents/guardians will follow their student's schedule beginning with A block. Please bring a copy of your student's schedule with you if possible.

GD Best Buddies will be celebrating Global Day of Inclusion this week with the official day being March 2nd. Best Buddies believes the world would be better if everyone were included. Around the world, exclusion and discrimination continue to divide people with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are changing that with grassroots action for inclusion. That's Spread the Word. This week the GD Best Buddies will have a poster for students to sign and pledge their commitment to promote inclusion. There is no monetary pledge, a signature demonstrates awareness. This is an annual campaign which is part of our commitment to Special Olympics and Best Buddies, and helps to insure we are a Unified Champion School. The students will have an opportunity to sign the poster during lunches on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. https://www.spreadtheword.global/theme
