This month is Fire Prevention! 🔥 FloRo has been lucky to have the Groton Fire Department visiting to teach the students about fire safety. Grade 2,3,4 and K have had their visits. Tomorrow they will visit first grade! Here are some pictures with the kindergartners!




We started our day with an all school meeting this morning. Mrs. Taylor read a story about how our school community is like a family.

Mrs. Marcelle Barker helps third grade students learn the library organization system in the new Florence Roche Media Center.


Third graders in Mrs. Wendy Kelly's Innovation Lab learn about the parts of the leaf and collaborate together to label and review vocab terms.

We had a great turnout for our grades K and 1 family open house last night! Looking forward to welcoming our grades 2-4 families on Thursday night for their open house. Classroom hours are from 6:30-7;30. PTA costume sale begins at 6:00.

Thanks to the Top Secret Orchard for the donation of apples! 🍎 The students in iLab loved using them for apple volcanoes, measuring and weighing as well as sink or float experiments!


Mrs. Harries' 4th graders shared their puzzle poems with Mrs. Taylor and Mr. O'Donoghue. We had a great time figuring them out.

Shoutout to Mrs. Amy Codyer for finding a great way to enhance learning with our touchscreen Chromebooks! 🎉 Students use the touch feature for virtual word work, manipulating letters with their fingers, making the activity interactive and engaging. Keep up the great work! 👏
