Our kindergarteners are exploring winter animals of the Nashua River watershed through our PTO-funded hands-on science adventure!

Due to a Sysco delivery delay, our scheduled food order will not arrive as expected. As a result, some menu items, particularly fruits and vegetables, may be substituted with items we currently have on hand. Families should be aware that menus may be adjusted for the remainder of the week. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility.
This week in PE, students became Olympic athletes! From bobsled and hockey to speed skating and curling, they worked together as teams, built skills, and brought the Winter Games to life. 🏅❄️

Mrs. Schott’s first graders enjoyed many special activities on the 100th day of school!

So much creativity and teamwork happening across our school today for Global Play Day. Learning looks like laughter, creativity, and connection on Global Play Day!

Snowshoeing in Physical Education Class!

After a long week of indoor recess due to the freezing temperatures, we certainly made the most of it today!

Thank you to our PTO for supporting hands-on enrichment experiences! Kindergarten students enjoyed a bubble science session filled with sensory exploration, social learning, and real-world science fun.

Mr. Kimpton's special annual visit to SU is a welcomed tradition! 4th graders too old for The Polar Express - not a chance! The magic and meaning of the season is timeless. #specialmemories #holidayexcitement

Mrs. Lattini’s and Mrs. Olson’s Kindergarten classes have been on a whirlwind adventure to catch the Gingerbread Man! All week long, students have been reading his story, writing about their sightings, and drawing pictures to mark where he’s been. The excitement spread school-wide as everyone joined the hunt. After all that running, our tired Gingerbread Man was finally discovered taking a well-earned rest with Nurse Jen!

The SU gym was full of excitement this week as students teamed up for a sleigh-riding activity! Partners alternated between pulling and riding, and students embraced their roles as reindeer. The activity encouraged teamwork, imagination, and plenty of fun.

Students are enjoying good old-fashioned outdoor play—building snowmen, creating forts, and sledding with friends. ❄️⛄ #friends #winterfun

Due to the predicted road conditions worsening in the afternoon, Groton Dunstable Regional Schools will be running an early dismissal/half-day schedule for all schools on Tuesday, December 2nd. All afternoon/evening activities will be canceled.
Mrs. Lattini’s class started the day with plenty of creativity and Thanksgiving spirit as students showed off their homemade turkey hats.

Our amazing nurses, Kate and Jen, spent time with our Kindergarteners teaching them how to be Germ Stoppers through proper handwashing skills! Students used a special soap and then checked their hands under a special light to see just how important thorough handwashing is for keeping us healthy. A big thank-you to our nurses for this fun and impactful lesson!

Mrs. Keegan’s third graders rocked their book projects and class presentations today! Watching them encourage and support one another was truly amazing. Presenting in front of peers isn’t easy, but they stepped up, showed real perseverance, and absolutely crushed it. #accomplished #perseverance

What a fantastic start to Spirit Week at Swallow Union! Students had a blast celebrating Dress Like a Teacher/Dress Like the Students Day.

Our Student Council visited every classroom this morning to deliver Kindness Jars—an idea they created and brought to life to help spread positivity across Swallow Union. Each jar is filled with uplifting messages for students to read, one per day, over the next month. We’re so proud of their initiative and the kindness they’re inspiring throughout our school!

A huge congratulations to PTO Winner Emilie Dias, who arrived at school in style along with her brother and friend, with a special ride from the Dunstable Fire Department, led by Deputy Kerrigan. A memorable morning for an awesome student!
