Our theme this year is Seen, Heard, Valued & Connected, and our recent MCAS results are a wonderful reflection of what those words look like in action!

We are incredibly proud of the outstanding achievement of our students and especially the growth and success of our students with the greatest needs. These results are a testament to their hard work and to the dedication, expertise, and care our staff brings to students every single day.

The candy apples shared with staff today were a small way to say: We see you. We value you. Your hard work matters, and it makes a difference.

Great results don't happen by accident. They happen when students and educators feel seen, supported, valued, and connected and when an entire school community works together to help every student succeed.

Congratulations to our students and staff!

Magnetic Minds at Work! Our 3rd graders explored magnetic fields and the forces of attraction and repulsion, then put their learning into action! Students used the engineering design process to create their own inventions featuring magnets, demonstrating their understanding through creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning.

A big thank you to our PTO for supporting enrichment opportunities like this program from the Discovery Museum. Their continued support helps bring engaging, hands-on learning experiences directly to our students!

What a fantastic turnout for our Annual PTO Color Run! The weather held out, and it was wonderful to see so many current Swallow Union families, and even some SU alumni, come together for an evening of fun and community.

Between the Color Run, dunk tank, ice cream truck, face painting, and chalk, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Events like this remind us what makes our SU community so special.

A huge THANK YOU to our PTO and all of the volunteers who gave their time and energy to make another memorable Color Run possible!

Some awesome teamwork from 4J this morning. Working on communication and collaboration, they crushed it! They had to figure out a way to get their entire group across the gym without touching the floor.

From Chalk the Walk welcome-back messages to settling into new routines, our students are off to a wonderful start! In STEM, students are reviewing the design process and laying the groundwork for an exciting year of hands-on learning. In PE, Ms. Paulik is getting to know her students through fun and engaging games—with a goal of learning every student’s last name this year!

We are also thrilled to welcome our newest Swallow Union students - our Kindergartners! They are busy making new friends, exploring their classrooms, and learning the routines and expectations that will help them feel confident and connected at school.

What a great beginning to a new school year! We are so excited for all that is ahead!
