Dear Florence Roche Families,
Welcome to a new school year! Our staff has been hard at work over the past weeks getting everything ready for students. Each school year brings us new opportunities to learn and grow as a school community. We are excited to bring back all of our learners this year. As a district and in our individual schools, we are committed to an engaging and healthy learning experience for all.
It was exciting to meet our new kindergarten students and their families during the welcome to school event last night. Their energy and enthusiasm for starting school were great to see. Thank you to our PTA for supporting this event!
The district now has an app available for families to help keep you up to date with school happenings. Please add this app to your phone, so you won’t miss out on any school information.
We will use this app for all of our school communication this year. The district website has also been updated, so make sure to bookmark GDRSD.org for school and district information. You will find links to the lunch menu, bus routes, calendar, and much more!
A few reminders before opening day…
Arrival begins at 8:45am. Please do not arrive for parent/guardian drop off prior to 8:40am. Too many cars lining up before 8:45am will create a backup and delays on Route 119. You do not need to get out of your car when dropping off as this slows down our process. A staff member will be present to greet your student and make sure they exit your vehicle safely. 2021-2022 Arrival and Dismissal Plan
There is no charge for school lunch. You do need to preorder through the food services tab on the district website. Our kitchen staff needs an accurate count to ensure all students get lunch. You can preorder up to a month in advance at
Friday, September 3rd is a District ½ day with all students being dismissed at 12:10pm.
