As the school year winds down, we would like to share some helpful information with our rising 9th-grade students as they prepare for high school at Groton-Dunstable Regional High School this fall.

All current 8th graders who will be attending GDRHS next year will take their assigned Chromebook home for the summer on Monday, June 16th! These devices have been an essential part of their learning at the middle school and will continue to be used at the high school level in the 1:1 program.

Before the last day of school, students will:

  • Receive their Chromebook charger

  • Sign out their Chromebook and charger with their 8th-grade homeroom teacher

Please remind your student to bring their fully charged Chromebook with them on the first day of school at GDRHS.

These devices are part of the district’s tech inventory and will be needed for high school classes.

Over the summer, Section 8 of the GDRHS Student Handbook will be updated with details about device use and responsibilities. Parents and students will also be required to complete the necessary technology forms at the start of the school year.

Not attending GDRHS?

If your child will not be attending Groton-Dunstable Regional High School next year, please have them leave their Chromebook in their current classroom before the end of the year. If plans change over the summer, you can return the device to the GDRSD Central Office at 344 Main Street in Groton.

Thank you for partnering with us to support your child’s smooth transition to high school!
