Swallow Union Update

Week of February 6th, 2023

Message from Mrs. Jarvis, Principal

We have so many exciting things happening at Swallow Union, that we are relying on posting these snippets in the Live Feed section of our website.  From celebrating the 100th day of school, from designing machines and pulleys in the Tech Innovation lab to enrichment learning in Kindergarten from the Discovery Museum to listening to our 3rd graders share with me their opinion writing and persuasive essays on all the reasons why extra recess is essential, it was a jam-packed week!

I would like to take a moment to thank our families for all of the past and future Fun Fridays that you have hosted for us this year.  Your effort, time, and sharing of delicious food with us are so very much appreciated.  When walking into the teacher lounge on a Fun Friday, my favorite part of these days is when we gather with our colleagues and connect with one another.  Thank you for helping support our school community more than you may know!

Our first Pencil-gram fundraiser was a huge success!  Our student council leaders were present at lunches this week to support the fundraiser and were genuinely wonderful role models for our younger learners helping them fill out their kindness notes.

We have one week to go until February vacation and thanks to our Student Council, we have a meaningful spirit week planned for this coming week.
