Dear SU Families,
1.The Fall Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Swallow Union from 10/26 - 10/28! Our Fall Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event, sponsored by PTO, that brings to school the books kids want to read. It offers a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level. All classes will visit the fair during school hours. A flyer was sent home with the class schedules included.
Most teachers create a “Wish List” to enhance each classroom’s library. Please consider donating a book to your child’s classroom, the school library or a specialist’s collection. Wish lists will be available during the Book Fair, please tell your child if you would like them to purchase one and a volunteer will assist them.
Scholastic is offering a new and easy way to pay for books called E-WALLET. Visit our book fair homepage to sign up! http://www.scholastic.com/bf/s... As always we can accept personal checks and cash. If you choose to pay by check, please make the check payable to SU PTO. Attach a note indicating the amount of money your child may spend. No sales tax will be charged for purchases.

2.Our first spirit day at SU will be Friday, October 29th. The theme is: SU Tigers Show Their Halloween Spirit! Celebrate our Tiger spirit by wearing orange and black. This will be our first spirit day of the school year. Our 4th Grade Student Council have been working on other spirit day ideas that will be occurring throughout the school year. Stay tuned!!
3.Our lost in found has started to pile up. If you think your child has left something at school, please remind them to visit the lost and found table. The table is located right outside our cafeteria.
4.I hope families can join us for our Spooktacular Drive-Thru event tonight.
