Mrs. Lattini’s Memorial Day Tradition
Every year, on the Friday of Memorial Day Weekend, Mrs. Lattini’s students start Swallow Union by singing “Proud to be an American” over our loudspeaker for our whole school to enjoy. Even Mr. Mark Shaw, Kitchen Manager, could be heard cheering and clapping this morning! Well done Kindergartners!

Memorial Day Assembly
This year’s 2nd Annual Memorial Day gathering was a meaningful and prideful event, thanks to the collective efforts of our school community. A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Mohan, our music teacher, for leading our students in a beautiful tribute.
We’re also proud of our student council representatives, who graciously welcomed our honored guests and spoke with poise throughout the program. Special thanks to our staff who helped provide light refreshments for our visiting veterans—your support made the event even more special.
Thank you to all who have served to protect our country and our freedoms. Thank you to Sergeant Christopher Shannon for speaking today and to our other family members who were present so that we can honor you.

Class of 2025 SENIOR WALK
The Groton Dunstable graduating class of 2025 will walk down memory lane to where it all began for some of them as they participate in the 1st annual senior walk on Tuesday, May 27th, from approximately 9 AM until 12:30 PM. In their caps and gowns, seniors will board three school buses at Groton Dunstable High School and visit all five schools in our district. They will be welcomed by younger students standing in the hallways, cheering them on as they walk through the school.
Parents, guardians, friends, and neighbors are encouraged to gather back at the high school around 12:00 to welcome the seniors on the buses for their last trip on a school bus down to the high school. Please park in the upper parking lots and on the left side of the road, up on the grass, and then stand along the road leading down to the high school (near upper fields) to welcome the buses back to the high school. Parents and community members are welcome to bring signs and noise makers to cheer on the seniors.

GDEF Teaching Stars
Are you looking for a unique way to recognize a Teacher, Administrator, or Other Staff/Community Member for their hard work and the impact they’ve had on your child? GDEF Teaching Stars are the perfect gift! They are a great way to say "Thank You" while helping enrich the schools by donating to the Groton-Dunstable Education Foundation (GDEF). Certificates are great for showing gratitude in November or as a holiday gift in December! Parent/Guardian Notes Required for any changes in Dismissal
If your child(ren) has a change in dismissal from their normal plan, a written note or email to the teacher is required. Please be sure to send that note the same day noting the change. From there, those notes go to the office, where we verify the change and create a bus slip for the bus drivers. This ensures students are going where their parents have arranged and provides permission to the bus drivers to take them (or drop them off at a different stop). Students are not allowed to change their dismissal plans on their own.
