Fifth-grade Digital Literacy classes are wrapping up their Avatar Superhero Canva Comic Unit this week. Students began by exploring Google Slide tools, creating individual avatars, and transforming them into superheroes representing one of the four classroom norms. The norms are:
- Classwork
- Community
- Chromebook Usage
- Classmate Kindness
Students then uploaded their avatar superheroes to Canva, brainstormed storylines, developed dialogue and other characters, and even added voiceovers to "bring them to life'' in a movie format. Their teacher, Ann Marie Roy, shared, "It was exciting to see how engaged students were throughout this creative process. I am so impressed with their effort and perseverance."
