2022 Groton Road Race

Happy Sunday Groton Dunstable Regional Middle School Families. I hope you had a great weekend, the weather was amazing.   This is a picture of myself with the middle school students who ran in the road race today.  It was so fun to be a part of the Groton Dunstable Community today.  Tonight’s memo is short and sweet.

Shout Outs:

  • Huge Shout Out to our PTO and YOU our families as we were able to raise just shy of $1,900  for the Teacher Appreciation Luncheon in a very short time.  Thank you!

  • Our Groton Dunstable Middle School Best Buddies team raised over $1,000 in the Best Buddies Friendship walk last weekend.  Thank you to all who came out to support.

  • The Middle School Fine Arts Department put on a great show at the high school this last week.  We want to thank all who came out to see our students' amazing work.

  • May is Mental Health awareness month. Our middle school guidance department wanted me to share this flier with you  Mental Health Awareness Month.

6th Grade Families:

We want to remind you that the Human Growth and Development lessons will be delivered coed to sixth grade students during their science class.  Grade 6, May 16-19

5th Grade Families: 

The Human Growth and Development lessons will be delivered coed to sixth grade students during their science class.  Grade 5 is May 23-26.

The initial communication was sent on March 27 informing parents of both our parent informational meetings held before April break. If you did not have the opportunity to attend either of the parent informational meetings you can locate the overview of the lessons.  You are also welcome to schedule a time to preview the curriculum.  If you choose to opt your child out of the 2 day Human Growth and Development lesson you must email myself, at wsalvatore@gdrsd.org and Mrs. Pelletier at npelletier@gdrsd.org.  The Opt-Out form is closed at this point.

MCAS

  • Our MCAS schedule for this week is Tuesday and Wednesday May 17th and 18th  grades 7 & 8 Math.   The Math make-ups are Thursday and Friday.

END OF YEAR EVENTS

  • Friday night May 20th 7th & 8th grade students are invited to a night out.  This event will be happening in the North Building.  There will be a dance in the gym, a movie in the library, and some games happening in the conference room.  The cost at the door is $5.00.  The event will run from 7pm-9pm.  Please be prompt when picking up your child.

  • June 7th Middle School Chorus Concert

  • June 9th Middle School Band Concert

  • June 13th, rain date June 14th 6th Grade field day
