Family memo

Good evening Groton Dunstable Regional Middle School Families.  As we continue to set goals, create supportive learning environments, and build positive behavioral systems, we also find ourselves continuing to work with the new norm that is COVID.   We had three positive cases in the 5th grade last week.  Our partnership with the affected families has shown me that this district is committed to keeping its schools and families safe. Thank you!

With that being said we continue to have to remind students of the proper way to wear masks.  Please have a conversation with your student about wearing their mask over their nose and their mouth.

I also must share that In our North building this week we had an instance of Anti-Semitic graffiti in the 7th grade boys bathroom.   This is serious and is not acceptable to us as a Groton Dunstable Community.  We will be working with our Diversity Equity and Inclusion coordinator as well as our Social Emotional Wellness coordinator to create a swift approach in addressing this behavior. We are also working closely with our SRO from the Groton Police Department to discuss how their assistance may help us in this effort.

On a more positive note, I would like to give a big shout out to our  Middle school football team for their first win of the season on Thursday as they defeated Murdock 20-6, and to our Cross Country team for defeating Tyngsboro this past week.
