Happy National Day of Encouragement

Good evening Groton Dunstable Regional Middle School Families, Today is National Day of Encouragement.  I hope you had an opportunity to enjoy this wonderful weekend weather.

COVID UPDATE:

We successfully completed our first round of COVID Safety Checks this past week.  This week we will do things a little differently.  The North building will test on Tuesday and the South Building will test on Wednesday.  This is the link again regarding close contacts. DESE Updated COVID-19 Flowchart.  I am also including Dr. Chesson's fall reopening plan if you have any questions.  Fall Re-Opening 2021- 2022 School Year

We have had to remind students quite a bit this week about wearing their masks the correct way.  Please take a minute to remind your children that masks are to be worn with them covering both our mouths and our noses.  Thank you for your partnership on this.

Important Topics for your to Know

  • Flag football.  It is that fabulous time of the year again, Groton Dunstable Community Education courses are getting ready to begin. We would like to provide you with the link to our new website, which allows families to browse, register and pay for programs all in one convenient location.   www.Connected.gdrsd.org

  • At this time we can not have students switching busses in the afternoon.  Because we are still wearing masks and following COVID protocols we know who rides what bus and we can not play with that attendance at this time.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Dismissals are happening like they did pre COVID.  Please send your child in with a note and when you arrive to pick them up please come into the office wearing a mask.

  • Starting on September 13th, the GD Volunteers Club will be working with Catie’s Closet to host a two-week clothing drive through Florence Roche, Swallow Union, GDRMS, and GDRHS. This nonprofit organization collects and distributes clothing to special “closets” in schools with large numbers of homeless students. These closets provide the attire needed to feel comfortable and confident in school. There will be collection bins located outside of the offices of each school in order to create a safe and contactless transfer. Any new or gently used clothing or shoes would be greatly appreciated.

  • We will be using the new website/app for our communication starting in October.
