PARENT WORKSHOP: All About Money for Middle School
Want your middle schooler to have better financial sense? Confused about how to help your pre-teen make better choices when going downtown? Unsure how to even approach the topic of money with your pre-teen? We are excited to host this workshop for parents with Worker's Credit Union on October 29 at 6:30p via Google Meet to help us all have better ways to talk with our kids about responsible financial decision making. TEXTILE BIN
Change of season means lots of clothes to donate! Be sure to drop any old clothes, fabrics, or shoes into the textile recycling bin in the middle school parking lot to help support GDMS PTO! Look for our logo!
Ski Club is open to grades 6–8 on Tuesdays from January 5th through February 9th, with registration opening at 6:00 AM on November 2nd through the PTYC.
Help for the Holidays!
This year more than ever, for some people in our community, the holiday season
can be anything but happy. If you are a family with children, infants to Middle
School and are experiencing financial difficulties, please remember that the Community Children’s Fund can help with gifts, food and winter clothing. If you would like to experience the joy of giving during this upcoming holiday season, the Community Children’s Fund would be able to offer several different options. To participate in either of these holiday traditions, Receiving or Giving, please contact Karen Tuomi at 978-877-6787 or email trustfunds@grotonma.gov. Confidentiality is strictly maintained. 11/9 is picture retake day, *Retake day is for new students and staff members, transfer students, or for anyone who may have missed the initial picture day. Additionally, we welcome anyone who was unhappy with their original picture and would like to give it another try. Retake photos automatically replace original photos in school services and yearbook. If a student chooses to retake their photo, please have them return the original picture package to the photographer on picture day. We will replace it at no additional cost.

Online applications for both schools will be available starting November 1. Please refer to this page for ongoing updated information. It’s also important for families to review the admissions policy for the school your student is applying to.
Nashoba Tech’s Open House: Sunday, November 1 from 12:00-3:00PM
Lowell Tech’s Open House: Thursday, December 10 from 6:00-8:00PM
If your 5th-8th student is applying to another school for the next school year, please read this information about our process for requesting teacher recommendations and school transcripts. Recommendations from teachers and counselors will start being completed after first term grades have been published to families. School Counselors complete the transcript request forms. Please allow at least 3 weeks for the staff to complete the forms.
