Dear Groton-Dunstable Families:
We are pleased to share that the information needed to access the new MCAS Family Portal is now available through the SchoolBrains Community Portal.
Beginning today, September 8th, parents and guardians of students in Grades 3–12 can log in to the SchoolBrains Community Portal to access their student's unique MCAS Family Portal registration code. The code will be posted under each student who took the MCAS assessment last spring under Student Documents as a PDF titled Students Secure Portal Code Letter, along with information from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) to help families register.
The MCAS Family Portal allows families to view their student's preliminary Spring 2026 MCAS results, as well as results from previous years. Final results, including additional growth information and statewide comparisons, should be available through the portal in late September.

Your student's unique registration code will be prominently displayed under Student Documents
We will not mail paper MCAS reports to families. If you would like a printed copy of your student's report, contact your student's school main office.
If a parent/guardian forgets their password to a student's MCAS Family Portal account, DESE must reset it. Please contact mcas@mass.gov to request a reset.
DESE has also provided the MCAS Family Portal registration letter in multiple languages, including Albanian, Arabic, Cape Verdean Creole, Chinese, French, Gujarati, Haitian Creole, Hindi, Khmer, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Telugu, Twi, and Vietnamese. These resources are available to families who may find them helpful. DESE has also created an MCAS Family Portal FAQ that you can access here.
