Yesterday was our 4th Annual Staff vs. Student Basketball game. It ended in a tie 31-31. Both staff and students played hard. I don't have a student team photo. I will post photos next week. Sorry :(
We had a building wide Rock Paper Scissors competition so fun organized by our Student Council. It was a fun experience. Please see our Middle School livefeed for our final showdown photos.
Square1Art catalogs were distributed this week. The art your students made is very cool. We hope that you will order as this is a fun middle school keepsake to have and a PTO fundraiser. Thank you
Parents, when you are picking your children up after school, whether it’s athletics or play practice, please adhere to our traffic signs. When you were coming out of the flagpole circle, there is a sign there that says no left turn. Please follow that. With so many students crossing into the parking lot to meet their parents and parents coming in for various sports it is dangerous if you are not following the traffic patterns on our school campus. Battle of the Spare Change- The Finals round is proving to be quite the competition! 7th grade is in the lead by a solid margin, in large part due to an online assist! 5th grade continues to be aggressive in their point press so the Overtime round tomorrow will make all the difference in the final outcome! Online assists, found on our website (www.gdmspto.com)! Prizes will be distributed to the winning grade and the MVP grade (the grade with the most in person donations) on Monday!

March 21 (Sat)- March 29th(Sun): Students see recommendations and are able to enter course requests in Schoolbrains(Student Portal Only!!)
March 29 (Sun): Last day to make selections.
March 30 (Mon): Course Level Change Forms due and scheduling system locked to students
March 30 - Apr 8: High school counselors will start meeting with students to review course selections, check the number of credits and confirm if a CLCF is required.

Families looking for tutoring:
The Dunstable and Groton Public Libraries keep flyers and contact info for local tutors at the front desk. Staff at the libraries should be able to assist in sharing the contacts that they have, or families can review the flyers that are posted on their own.
The Prescott Center has been running homework help sessions after school with the support of students from the High School. Families can check the schedule of events at Prescott, or can connect with their programming manager for options.
Adam Snodgrass at the High School is the advisor for National Honor Society and can connect families with students who are interested/available for tutoring.
Counseling Corner:
If your child has been accepted to another school and is planning on attending that school for 9th grade, please email Mrs. Lynette Fisher at lfisher@grsd.org and Ms. Patty Ascione at pascione@gdrsd.org. Informing us now will help ensure that your child’s school records are sent to the correct school. If you do not inform us, school records will automatically be sent to GDRHS. Here is the GDRMS release of information that needs to be completed and returned to Mrs. Fisher.
