Hello Middle School families. I hope you have a great weekend.
Things to know:
Student Council: We are looking to start a middle school Student Council. This council will be open to 6th and 8th grade students. We liked this idea of the “upper classmen” in each building giving the 5th and 7th grades something to work toward. Please see the link Applications are due 10/10
GD and North Middlesex SEPACs are hosting a workshop with a focus on ADHD both in and outside the classroom, preschool thru high school. The workshop will be held at North Middlesex High School on October 28th at 7pm. Please see flyer below for more information. We hope you can join us!
Best Buddies will hold its first meeting after school next Wednesday, October 8 from 2:35 (dismissal) to 3:30 in the North Cafeteria. Follow the link and sign up at bestbuddies.org/join, then join us for some fall fun!
Counseling Corner, please see the link here about what is happening with our counseling department. Some things to note - our counselors will be offering friendship groups during lunch and there is information regarding the 8th grade comings and goings for private and tech schools.
Reminders:
On October 23rd, from 6-8 in the PAC Officer Wayne will be hosting an E-Bike safety presentation. All are invited. Link to the flyer
Mountain Bike Club we still have openings for the Mtn Bike Club and if students want to join (even for only one ride) they can still register through the Twomey Center?
GDRMS Counseling Department wants you to know that students can access our school counselors for many reasons. On Thursday 9/25 I sent a separate email regarding the ins and outs of our counseling department, please take a look at our GDRMS Counseling Department Website
Dunstable Grade 8 Families:
Ms. Ascione met with all Dunstable 8th graders on September 24, 2025, to discuss Greater Lowell Technical High School. Information about the school and the permission slip was given to the students. For those interested, a tour will take place on October 16 during the school day.
The bus will depart the middle school at 8:15 am and return by 11:00 am.
Students should return signed permission slips to their child's Advisory teacher or Ms Ascione as soon as possible. Students attending the tour will be responsible for the classwork that was missed in the morning. Please be aware that Nashoba Valley Technical High School is not accepting any school choice applications this year. Thank you.
Groton Grade 8 Families;
Nashoba Tech will be here in PAC on Tuesday, October 7th, from 9:05 to 9:50. Dunstable students, who are interested and have their parents fill out permission slips, will attend a tour at Lowell Tech in the coming weeks.
Buses, If you have questions about busses and changing a stop for your child or having your child ride a different bus all of those questions go through Dee Bus.
