Family memo

Hello Middle School families.  Welcome back. In this memo you will find new information from our Middle School community and then old information that you may still need.  I will always highlight key words so that you may skim through things that may not pertain to you or your students' grade.

New Information:

  • Spirit Wear, This is the final weekend of the back-to-school sale. It is critically important to get the word out this weekend, as many parents shop online Friday-Sunday. Here is a new ad to share.

    • Also, in addition to free shipping on orders over $75, they've lowered the shipping cost to just $5 for all orders under $75!

  • Book Fair, Our Middle School Book Fair is this week.  Monday - Thursday. The book fair will also be going on during our Open House in the North Building Library.  If you need financial assistance for your student please contact myself at wsalvatore@gdrsd.org

  • Open House, Our Open house is this Thursday from 6-7:30.  Families will follow their students' schedules.  Your student will bring a schedule home with them on Wednesday.  Also, please know your student’s Advisory teacher this will help us help you get to where you need to go.

  • Mosquitos, There was a mosquito that tested positive for West Nile Virus in Ayer.  With our after school events we wanted to remind you….To avoid mosquito bites, use a repellent with an EPA-registered ingredient, wear clothing to reduce exposed skin, drain standing water and repair window screens. Remember that mosquitoes are most active at dawn and dusk.

From the Health Office:

  • Please complete the Nurse Emergency Card for your students and return the paperwork to their building Health Office   Health card form

  • If your student has an Emergency Care Plan or a Health Care plan please check their backpack for the required annual paperwork. Emails have also been sent. Please reach out to your building nurse if you have any questions.
