PROJECT HYGIENE: we are excited to share that the Middle School nurses, in conjunction with GD High school student James Picucci, are in the process of establishing our own hygiene product closets that will be stocked with a variety of necessities for our students. We plan to have a closet located in each middle school's nurse's office.
Having closets located at school will allow the nurses to provide essentials to students whose access to personal hygiene products may be limited. Health and hygiene items are often times overlooked as a need. Not following good hygiene can have a serious impact on a students' confidence and academic performance. It is our goal to help students feel good about themselves on the inside and outside and to avoid any of the negative effects poor hygiene can have.
We would like your help to get our closets stocked. Beginning April , 3rd we will have collection boxes located outside of both middle school front offices. We are hoping to get donations of the following new, unopened products: shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrushes, dental floss, deodorant, body wash/soap, feminine care products, combs/brushes. No donation is too small. Every item donated will go directly into the closet and into the hands of another student. Thank you in advance for your support.
