Good afternoon, Groton Dunstable Families

I just want to take a moment to say thank you for a successful first half of the school year. I hope you all can take the next week and spend some time relaxing with family and friends. I also want to thank you for welcoming me to the GD community – this is truly a special place and I am glad to be part of it. I look forward to seeing everyone on January 3 as we kick off 2023. Thanks again.

Groton Dunstable DECA Earns Chapter Honor

Groton, MA – Groton Dunstable Regional High School DECA in Groton, Massachusetts, the school’s student

business club, has been awarded the Achievement Level recognition in the DECA Membership Campaign for

the 2022-2023 school year. The results were announced on decadirect.org.

Each year, DECA recognizes leading chapters that have built strong local programs focused on serving an

exceptional number of members, advisors, alumni and business partners. These chapters and individuals

dedicate their year to academic and career preparation, community service projects, membership recruitment, school outreach activities and other DECA-related endeavors. The chapter’s advisor and student leaders have demonstrated extraordinary commitment to DECA.

DECA’s membership campaign is designed to help chapters grow by making the DECA experience available

to more student members, keeping alumni involved and engaging professional members such as administrators, teachers, parents and business partners.

“From September 2022 to December 2022, we have grown our local chapter from 15 students to 53 students! I am proud of the DECA student officers, Joseph Wang, Dylan Paradis, Andrew Lapin, and Christian Tims, for their dedication to recruitment. It is wonderful to see the growing interest in business here at GD!” said Anna Rosenfeld, DECA Advisor. Rosenfeld also praised parents for their ongoing support as well as a local business sponsor, M.S. R. Utility Maintenance Corp. in Dunstable MA, that have contributed to the group’s efforts.

Of the 3,200 DECA chapters, only 637 chapters earned recognition in DECA’s chapter campaigns and only

1,038 chapters earned recognition in DECA’s membership campaign.

The DECA chapter advisor at Groton Dunstable Regional High School is Anna Rosenfeld.
