Groton-Dunstable Regional High School is excited to welcome the Class of 2030 and our incoming-transfer students to campus for New Student Orientation Day on Thursday, August 27 from 7:30 am to 11:00 am. This special event is voluntary and designed to help our newest Crusaders become familiar with their new school, meet teachers and staff, and begin their GD journey with confidence.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Upon arrival (7:00 am – 7:25 am), all new students will be welcomed at the main entrance and receive a t-shirt. They will then receive a printed copy of their 2026-2027 schedule and WIN group assignment from one of our New Student Orientation Team members. Students will then report to the gymnasium for an introduction of orientation leaders and groups, along with a brief welcome presentation from our school administration, teacher leadership team, and other staff members about life at GD, school expectations, and opportunities to get involved throughout the year.

Following the presentation, students will participate in fun activities, tour both the inside and outside of the high school and follow their class schedule throughout the remainder of orientation, allowing them to become familiar with campus locations, their classroom assignments, and routines before the first day of school.

TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION

Transportation must be provided by parents/guardians and students should be dropped off at the bus loop next to the tennis courts. There will be signage for student drop-offs to assist with this process. Students will then proceed on the sidewalk to the main entrance where they will be welcomed in traditional GD fashion.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

• Please bring a water bottle and sunscreen (if needed).

• Please wear comfortable clothing for activities and games.

• Please leave cell phones at home or "off and away" during orientation.

• Please adhere to the GDRSD dress code.

• Please come prepared to learn, have fun, connect, and lead.
