Now that gym clothes have been purged from the lockers, the last exams and assessments have been scored and posted on SchoolBrains, and the last maroon robe has crossed the graduation stage, there is time to reflect on the success of this past school year at Groton-Dunstable Regional High School. On Friday night, we recognized 178 students who put in 13 years of learning and completed their matriculation through the hallowed halls of GD. Learning that transcended the curriculum and surfaced in their numerous contributions of time, effort, and ideas to worthwhile causes and activities.

The Class of 2026 has leveraged their passions to begin their journey on the road to becoming nurses, doctors, teachers, lawyers, researchers, engineers, builders, therapists, accountants, artists, musicians, computer programmers, journalists, filmmakers. The list goes on. For those of you without the good fortune to attend our commencement exercises, it was an amazing night filled with nostalgia. Our graduates not only excelled in academics, but also found the time and energy to make enormous contributions to GD and to the larger community (academically, artistically, athletically, musically, theatrically, and through volunteerism).

Congratulations to the Groton-Dunstable Regional High School Class of 2026. You are a class that will not soon be forgotten. Always forward, never back.
