PRINCIPAL MESSAGE
With Winter upon us, please remind new drivers to take care and account for extra time to travel, not just to school, but anywhere. Although our crews work tirelessly to prepare our sidewalks and parking lots, sometimes mother nature throws us for a loop. Slow and steady behind the wheel and on our feet are the calls of the season!
Speaking of the season, the holidays, winter break and the end of the semester is an exciting time but also can add lots to our plate. Couple that with seniors thinking about next year and there are lots of things added to the plates of our students. Balance needs to be at the fore of our thoughts and actions to ensure that students can emotionally manage the good and bad stress of the winter. Please have the conversations, support each other and let's work together as we help navigate the next few months in a positive way.

GD HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT COUNCIL "BE A ELF" PROJECT
What is "Be An Elf?" It is a two week project that raises $ for Groton and Dunstable families (with the help of the Groton Commissioners of Trust) who are in need this holiday season. We are in our second week of collecting money donations in each A Block at the high school. The competition has been fierce. If you are in the position to donate to this long-standing high school tradition and participate in the spirit of giving while supporting our community, donations will be accepted through Friday, December 12th. Donations can be sent in with your student who will give them to their A Block teacher. All funds collected will go towards purchasing gifts for families in our community. So far, the Trust has informed us that there are 19 families totalling 39 children who we would like to help this year. Thank you for your generosity and support!
