DECA TEAM NEWS

The GDRHS DECA team competed at the District 5 Regional Competition at University of Massachusetts, Lowell on January 8th and 9th. Students competed in a variety of business events, and 13 students placed in the top five of their event! These students will continue onto the Massachusetts State Career Development Conference in Boston! Congratulations to our DECA winners!

CLASS OF 2026 CALENDAR FUNDRAISER

The Class of 2026 is running a calendar fundraiser for the month of February. There will be a drawing every day for many chances to win some great prizes! Calendars are being sold by the sophomore class for $10 for a one time entry or $15 for unlimited entries for the whole month of February! Sales end January 31st. CLASS OF 2024 DISNEY FUNDRAISER

Support the Senior class trip to Disney in 2024.  We are raising funds to cover all chaperone and support staff costs for those traveling with the 79 students going to Disney World in May 2024. Thank you.

The Groton Dunstable Education Foundation (GDEF) is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting innovative and inspiring grants to enhance the quality of our students’ education. In the last academic year, GDEF awarded 12 grants across district schools totaling over $16,000 (information about all funded projects can be found here). If you or any loved ones are looking to make a year-end donation that will have an impact on your children's education, please consider donating to GDEF here. Time To Complete the FAFSA

The 2024-25 FAFSA is now available! Go to fafsa.gov, keep in mind that there may be some periods of downtime, as well as waiting rooms, during this first month of the form’s availability. For anyone needing help with the FAFSA, there are virtual events offering one-on-one expert assistance. Anyone interested should access the links below for more details and to register:

  • FAFSA Festival: Wed, Jan 24th, 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Log in anytime during this two-hour block to be paired with a financial aid expert

  • FAFSA Day events: Join a Monday session offered once a month from February until May to get FAFSA questions answered

"FAFSA Made Simple: Successfully Navigate the New FAFSA" virtual webinar on January 17th & January 24th @ 7:00 pm ET. Even if you cannot attend live, you will receive an email the next day with the recording from the presentation (but you still need to register!).

During the webinar financial aid experts will discuss:

1. 2024 FAFSA changes and how they'll impact your family

2. How (and who!) to login/access the FAFSA

3. How to complete and submit the FAFSA

4. Who requires the FAFSA and when they are due

5. Why everyone should complete the FAFSA
