AP EXAM FEES ARE DUE

Today is the deadline to pay for Semester 2 AP Exams.  If you have not done so please submit a check to guidance on Monday.  Exams are $100 each and checks can be made payable to GDRHS.  This is for Semester 2 courses, Semester 1 course exams have already been paid for and ordered.

SPRING SPORTS SIGN UPS

Sports registration for the Spring season is now open.  You must be registered in order to participate in tryouts on March 20th.

HIGH SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE FOR SEMESTER 2

The High School will be holding Semester 2 Open house on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 6:00 pm.  This is an opportunity to hear what your student will be doing in class this semester.  This is not a time for individual meetings with teachers.  If you would like to set up a meeting to discuss your student with a teacher, please reach out to them directly.

PROM TICKETS

This year’s prom, Magical Masquerade,  will be held at Union Station in Worcester on Saturday May 6th  from 6-10 pm.  Tickets will go on sale March 22 during all lunches.

STUDENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

The elementary science fair will be Saturday, April 1, 2023. This science fair is for Swallow Union and Florence Roche students. Last year the student volunteers were of utmost importance to ensure the success of the science fair.

FOCUS PROGRAM/BAE SYSTEMS

BAE Systems will be offering a free session of our FOCUS Program beginning in April 2023.  FOCUS is an 11-week in person program which provides hands-on experiences in STEM fields to help grow students' interest in technical education and careers.

 

The program takes place at BAE Systems Nashua Canal Street facility from April 5 through June 14 Students will participate on Wednesday evenings from 6-8 p.m.

 

Students in grades 9 – 12 from schools within a reasonable driving distance from Southern New Hampshire are welcome to apply for the program through March 7. Our application is hosted on Tallo: https://app.tallo.com/application/9069/view   (note: students will need to create a Tallo profile to apply, this is easy and free and compliant with NH student privacy standards).
