Grade 1 Back to School Night

9/23/22

Dear Florence Roche Families,

We had a great turnout for our Grade 1 Back to School Night this past Monday.  The grade 1 team tried a different approach to sharing the beginning of the school year information with families.  Students showed their parents and guardians around their classrooms and let them know what the 1st grade experience is all about.  There was a lot of positive energy from our students and their grown ups!

A feedback survey was sent to the 1st grade families right after the event.  At this point, we haven’t had many responses.  Your (1st grade families) feedback is important to our future planning of these back to school nights.  If you are a 1st grade parent or guardian and have not yet shared your input, please take a few minutes to complete this short form.  Thank you!     Grade 1 Back to School Night Feedback

School picture day is coming on Thursday, October 6th.  All students will have their picture taken regardless of whether or not families order a picture package in advance.  Individual student pictures are added to Schoolbrains (our student management system) for our records through this process.  Ordering information for picture packages will be shared home in advance of picture day.

As a reminder when dropping off your student by car in the morning, please remember to use your directional signal to signal a right turn into the driveway.  This will make it safer as we direct the cars and buses exiting out of the traffic circle.  Thank you for your help with this process.
