Dear Florence Roche Families,

The end of our year is quickly approaching!  Memorial Day weekend really gets us thinking about the summer season.  Hopefully, the weekend will be mostly dry and sunny, so that you can get outside and enjoy it.

These last weeks are busy ones here at Florence Roche. There is a lot that happens as we close out the year with students.  Our 4th graders have begun their transition to middle school this week with a visit from Ms. Salvatore, Mr. Fleming and a group of current 5th grade students.  4th graders will be visiting the middle school next week as part of the transition process.

We celebrated Literacy Night last night with a variety of fun activities that promote reading and writing.  It was nice to see so many of our students and their families enjoying this event.  A big thank you to our literacy team for coordinating the event.  Thanks also to “Flo” for making an appearance!

Here are the directions to find Flo the Giraffe on the John Tinker Accessible Trail.  When you find Flo, please leave behind, so the next person can make the discovery.  Thank you!

The Lost and Found area is currently overflowing with all of your missing hats, coats, mittens, sweatshirts, water bottles, etc.  A display of all of these items looking to return home will be on display outside the building by the front entrance beginning on June 1st.  All unclaimed items after June 13th will be donated to children and families in need.  You can drive up to the front of the building and look through the Lost and Found any time during the school day or after school hours

.

I hope you all have a relaxing long weekend.

Brian
