Dear Florence Roche Families,

It’s hard to believe we are already heading off on our February break.  Our students and staff have been working hard and deserve their time away from the structure of the school schedule.  I hope you all find time in the next week to rest and refresh.  When we return on February 28th, we’ll be that much closer to spring!

Here are some pictures of our kindergarten students working cooperatively during their recess to construct a wall out of ice chunks.  They collected them all across the playground and enthusiastically added them to their “wall”.  Our future engineers used a creative process to move a chunk of ice that weighed more than any of them to its final destination on the wall.  Cooperation and teamwork were on display as they used an incline in a snowbank to move the ice chunk into place.

Thank you to our PTA for all of the thoughtful treats for our staff in recognition of Valentine’s Day.  We appreciate all that you do for us

Please inform the school nurse of any special health considerations that may arise with your child throughout the school year.  If your child has a fracture, sprain, recent injury, or recent surgery it is imperative that the nurse be made aware.  We need to ensure the safety and health of your child during the school day.  The nurse will help with any needed accommodations and make the appropriate staff aware of any special health care needs.  Thank you!

Have a great week off!
