12/3/21

Dear Florence Roche Families,

This week we reached the end of our 1st term milestone.  It’s a busy time around Florence Roche with teachers involved in parent conferences, students completing their end of term work and teachers preparing their student report cards for distribution later this month.  As we move into our 2nd term, we look forward to seeing our students continue to demonstrate progress both academically and socially.

Our 4th grade students are leading the school community in a food drive for the Loaves and Fishes food pantry.  This community service project supports many families and helps our students understand how they can be leaders and have a positive impact on their greater community.  We are asking for your support with this effort.  Here is a message from a few of our 4th graders about the food drive.

Loaves and Fishes Food Drive

These are the items we are collection for Loaves and Fishes

Kindergarten - toothpaste

Grade 1 - ground or instant coffee

Grade 2 - hearty/chunky soups

Grade 3 - boxed flavored rice & canned solid tuna

Grade 4 - cranberry sauce

The food drive will run from 12/6-12/17.  4th graders will organize the food from each classroom and grade level and prepare the boxes for delivery to Loaves and Fishes.

Thank you for supporting our food drive!

We continue to monitor the health of our school community in response to COVID.  During the reporting period of 11/25-12/2, we had 5 positive student cases and 1 positive staff case.

Have a nice weekend.

Brian
