Dear Florence Roche Families,

Happy October!  Heading into our 5th full week, I can see that our students are getting familiar with the routines of school.  This has been a very different start for our students after last year’s experience.  They have experienced many “firsts” as we reintroduced spaces both inside and outside of the building that were not available to them last year.  Their social development through increased interactions with peers has been a focus to start the year.

Thank you to those parents attending our Curriculum Night this past week.  Our staff did a great job adapting to the whole group format.  They presented a comprehensive overview of their respective grade level curriculum.  These presentations are also available digitally for your review.  Our hope is that next year we will be able to welcome you back into our classrooms.  Please remember that we are always available for your questions by email, phone call or note.

School picture day is coming up next week on Thursday, 10/7.  Your student went home with an order form this week.  Every student will have his or her picture taken to be included in our student management system (SchoolBrains).  If you would like pictures of your student, please return the order form with them on 10/7 or complete your picture order online.

The Groton Police Department is hosting a free child’s safety seat check this Saturday from 10:00am-2:00pm.  They will be checking seats in the parking lot of the Groton Fire Department at 45 Farmers Row in Groton.

Have a great weekend.
