Dear Florence Roche Families,
Happy almost summer vacation! We have a day and a half of school left next week before ending our first year in the new building. It’s been a great year for so many different reasons. We all came together to open this building and build a new school community together. I am proud of everything we accomplished! Thank you to all of our families for your support throughout the year.
Third graders performed for their families during their chorus concert last night. The swing theme had us all tapping our toes as we enjoyed their performance. Thank you to Mr. Wiesner and Mrs. Mohan for preparing the 3rd graders for this event.
It was great to celebrate the end of elementary school with our 4th graders today. I have enjoyed getting to know them from their earliest days of kindergarten and the others who joined us along the way. I am especially proud of our students from Swallow Union who transferred into the new school for their last year of elementary school. They have been a great addition to our school. We will miss all of our 4th graders and wish them the best as they head off on their step of their educational journey.
In support of their transition, our 4th graders visited the middle school this week. Both Florence Roche and Swallow Union 4th graders came together for this visit and a little social time afterwards.
We are continuing our last day of school tradition of waving goodbye to the buses at dismissal. After each round of buses loads, they will stage in the middle school parking lot until all buses have loaded. The staff will then come out and line the bus circle sidewalk. The buses will proceed back through the bus circle while we all wave goodbye to our students for the summer. Any parent/guardian pick ups that would like to participate in the final wave goodbye, should plan to wait in the middle school lot and join the end of the bus line. Please do not cut into the bus line. Thank you!
Term III student reports will be available in your SchoolBrain portal on the afternoon of 6/17. Class and teacher assignments for the 2025-2026 school year will be shared with families in early August.
Important Information from the Health Office
This is a reminder from the health office regarding student medications. All inhalers and epi-pens can be sent home with your child due to them being classified as emergency medication. However, all other medication (Benadryl, daily medication, over the counter medications, etc.) in the health office will need to be picked up by an adult by Tuesday, 6/17 at dismissal. If it is not picked up it will need to be disposed of as it can not be stored over the summer months.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns

Grow with me Groton-Dunstable graduation shirts 2038
https://www.zeffy.com/ticketing/grow-with-me-graduation-shirts
Document your child’s journey from kindergarten to 12th grade! Each year on the first day of school, snap a photo of your child in their shirt and watch them grow into it over time. These shirts start out big on your little one and gradually fit them better as they grow, creating a unique keepsake.
The back of the shirt features a special space for your child to sign their name each year, allowing you to track how their signature evolves over the years.
Orders must be placed by July 15th and shirts will be handed out at a back to school event in August. Details will be provided as school events are finalized.
The Groton-Dunstable Education Foundation is a volunteer non-profit organization committed to enhancing the success of our public schools by providing private funding for innovative, inspiring programs and opportunities.
Have a great summer!.
