Dear Florence Roche Families,
It was a very busy 4 day week with the different grade level Field Days. For the most part, the weather cooperated. Grade 4 and grade 2 will have their Field Days next week on Monday and Wednesday respectively. We had a great turnout of parent volunteers. The Field Days would not be possible without all of your help, so thank you for spending these mornings with us! A special “Thank You!” to our PTA President Joey Tomaino for all of his time and effort in support of all of our Field Days. Our amazing Ms. Kinneen pulls it all together, so that our students have a fun and memorable experience.
Congratulations to the GDRHS class of 2025 soon to be graduates! The graduating seniors toured through all of our school buildings on Tuesday morning for their “Senior Walk”. This newly established tradition was a great tribute to all of the hard work these students have demonstrated throughout their PreK-12 journey. It was great to see our elementary students congratulating the seniors as they walked our hallways. Here is the video of the event produced by the Groton Channel. You might want to grab a tissue! The Florence Roche student art show is open next week. Every student will have a piece of artwork that they created this year on display. Ms. Stoddard will be here on Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 to curate the art show.
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on June 3rd.
All families are invited and welcome to attend the ceremony beginning at 4:00pm on June 3rd.
Check out the fun themes planned by our 4th Grade Student Council for the June 9th-16th Spirit Week.
Have a nice weekend.
