Whalemobile

May 19, 2023

Dear Florence Roche Families,

We are moving quickly to the end of another school year.  As part of our end of year practice, grade levels worked on their draft class placement this afternoon.  This is an exciting annual activity as we envision the year ahead for our students.  Families will be notified of teacher assignments in August, but students will be introduced to the teaching team at their new grade level prior to the end of the year.  We believe this will support a smooth back to school transition.

Our 1st graders learned about whales this week by actually climbing inside a life-sized whale!  The Whalemobile visited Florence Roche to teach students all about the life of a whale.  Thank you to our PTA for funding this exciting enrichment opportunity.

Mrs. Kinneen has been busy with the planning of our annual student field days scheduled for June 5th-7th.  She is looking for volunteers to help with this fun event.  Here is the link to all of the details and to sign up.  Field Day 2023

Our specialists are planning to host another virtual talent show for any interested students K-4.  Please read this attached flier for more details.  2023 Virtual Talent Show
