Building

May 5, 2023

Dear Florence Roche Families,

As the year has moved along, I have been watching the progress happening behind us on our new school.  This afternoon, Mrs. Taylor and I were able to tour the construction site and get a close look at how the project is coming together.  The building has a roof, some exterior walls, and you can visualize the future interior learning and office spaces.  It’s an impressive structure that I know we are all excited for its completion.  One more year!

Here is the May edition of the FloRo News Report .  This episode was a collaborative effort between our 4th graders in Mrs. Clark and Mr. Fahy’s classes.  The transitions are now working again in Flipgrid.

The Groton Dunstable Regional School District has been working with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to monitor and review our English Language Learning Programming.  As part of this process, several educators and administrators will be participating in virtual interviews and we have also submitted records to the department for review.  If you have any questions about this review process or have something you would like to contribute about our English Language Learning Program, please contact me at bodonoghue@gdrsd.org  with your feedback so that it can be shared with Kristin DeFrancisco, the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment.

On Thursday, May 18th from 6:30-8:30pm Dr. Mina Burbridge from Walker Therapeutic and Educational Programs joins us to discuss anxiety and depression look fors and strategies. This event is for all parents, guardians, and GDRSD staff members. Please join us in person at the Middle School South Auditorium located at 344 Main Street, Groton MA. For any questions, please reach out to adougherty@gdrsd.org or call 978-448-5505 ext. 3820. We look forward to seeing you there!  GDRSD Event Poster 5.18.23
