Great news! As you know, we have had scheduled maintenance to revamp the playground! Please be assured that we’ve been able to keep the kids busy and active throughout this time. It is now officially back open and ready for recess! Thanks for everyone’s patience!
Schedule for next week - With the Thanksgiving Holiday, we will have a short week starting with a half-day for everyone on Wednesday. Please be aware that pickup time is between 11:20-11:30 a.m. There will be no afternoon sessions. We’ll see you back on Monday, November 28th. Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate!
Nursing Updates: Illnesses - There has been an increase in respiratory infections (RSV, flu, and COVID-19) as well as hand, foot, and mouth disease across the state. Please keep your child home if they are sick, especially with a severe cough or fever. Also, please call the school or email me at lortiz@gdrsd.org if your child is going to be absent.
Winter Boots - Now that the cold weather has arrived, if your student wears winter boots to school, please also be sure to remember to send in a pair of sneakers or shoes for your child to change into. It helps prevent overheating which can cause headaches and stomachaches.
Holiday Baskets: Reminder from the PTA!
It's time for our Annual PTA Holiday Baskets!!
The Holiday Baskets are part of our annual Holiday Fair in December, where Florence Roche students each sing with their grades, crafts are set up for students, a large book sale occurs, and these beautiful baskets are on display for raffle. But because the sale of the baskets online has been so successful during the pandemic, we are doing a combination fundraiser this year, both in person and virtual!
Boutwell will contribute 1 basket from the school that all our classrooms can donate to. Our theme for our Boutwell Basket is "Snow Much Fun" (Anything to make a snow day fun!)
Below is a list of items to select from to purchase yourself and send into your child's classroom. All items will be collected by the end of the month.
