Grade 8 Washington DC Trip

Roommate Selection Process

Parent Information Night

Please set aside the evenings of Tuesday, March 16 and Tuesday, May 25 for mandatory meetings for parents of students who are going on the D. C. trip.  Each of these evenings we will have meetings from 6 to 7 PM in the PAC.  The March meeting will focus on the roommate selection process, trip policies, and the medical needs of students on the trip.  These meetings are mandatory in order to ensure that all parents understand all of the things that they will need to do in order to make this a safe trip for all of our students.  Thank you to all of the families that have completed and turned in their DC trip registration materials.  If you still have medical forms or behavior contracts to turn in, please do so as soon as you are able.  Our school nurse, Ms. Stidsen, will be sending out a special “Permission to Administer” form for the parents and doctors of students who have prescriptions indicated on their medical forms.  Our chaperone selection process is complete.  We have sent out invitations to 10 parents including 2 registered nurses to join us as chaperones for this event.  We have also placed 6 parents on a wait list for chaperone positions.  It was hard to say no thank you to so many who offered to help out this year.  We do appreciate your support and want to thank you again for your willingness to help out.  Please remember to send all payments for the DC trip directly to Capital Tours.  If you have any questions about the D. C. trip, they can be directed to our Trip Coordinator, Mr. Snodgrass, at the Middle School.

Thank You.
