Student Council

The next meeting of the Student Council will take place on Wednesday, May 12 from 2:30 - 4:00 pm in Room 118 North.  Students in Grades 7 & 8 will continue the planning for the upcoming Student Rock Band Concert on May 21.  Students in Grades 5 & 6 will make the final preparations for our Go Green GD water bottles give away as part of our efforts to support ecological awareness.

ROCK BAND CONCERT INFORMATION

The Student Council is getting ready to organize a Student Rock Band Concert for grades 7 and 8.  Students at GDMS who have a rock band made up of GDMS students in any grade can sign up by completing an application and turning it in with their lyrics by Friday, April 9, 2010.  The date of the event will be Friday, May 21 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM in the South Gym.  DJ Greg will also be playing dance music between the bands that night.  If we don't have enough bands, we will have a regular dance that night for grades 7 & 8 with DJ Greg.  Applications are available in both school offices.  If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Snodgrass, the Student Council Advisor.
