Friday, May 29, 2009

The busses left at 10:30 AM and should be arriving at approximately 9:30 PM.  Mr. Silverman will be sending out a Connect Ed message around 3:30 PM with an update of when they will be arriving.

The kids had a good time at the dance last night.  They had breakfast at Magill’s and Crystal Food Court this morning, then went to the FDR Memorial.

Everyone is ready to come home!

The weather is gorgeous today, 85 degrees out!  The kids had a great time last night at the Audrey Moore Recreation Center playing basketball, wolleyball, and swimming!

Today, we will be seeing more memorials, including the Lincoln Memorial, World War II Memorial, and Korean War Veterans’ Memorial.

We will also be visiting the National Zoological Park, National Air and Space Museum, Holocaust Museum, and the Newseum.  Finally, we will be ending the day with Pizza and dancing at the Crystal Food Court.  This will be an eventful day!

Everyone arrived safely and we checked into the hotel by 4:00pm.  The entire group had dinner at Magill’s, and then we went on the Ghost Tour of Alexandria.

Today’s events include the full group photo at the Capital Building, as well as walking tours of many of the famous memorials.  The weather is overcast, but the kids are in good spirits.  Dinner tonight will be at the Pentagon City Mall and then relaxing at the Audrey Moore Recreation Center.
